It is no secret that my creative inspiration stems from Pipiwai.

Pipiwai is a beautiful and tranquil location in the upper North Island of New Zealand – some three hours from Auckland.

It is there I was born and bred on a sheep and beef farm, before pursuing a career in photography, journalism, public relations and communications.

Shingle streams weave their way through the property, while quality purebred Simmental cattle roam the paddocks. Manuka honey is harvested from the land, areas of nature reserves are there to enjoy and hangi food is often on the menu.

The constant inspiration drawn from the beauty of such a heavenly area has played an immense part in my artistic development – particularly as a photographer. It always will.
